PQ 7 / 7°PQ
Il settimo programma quadro di ricerca e sviluppo tecnologico - PCCD 7 - comprende tutte le iniziative europee di finanziamento della ricerca, per intensificare gli sforzi in materia di occupazione, crescita economica e competitività in Europa. Lo stesso complementa il CIP (Programma per la competitività e l'innovazione) ed i programmi di istruzione e formazione ed i fondi strutturali assegnati alla regione.
Si tratta dello strumento principale per finanziare la ricerca dell'Unione europea al grado europeo e coprire il periodo 2007-2013 Il budget per i 7 prossimi anni é di 50.5 milliardi di euros; il budget Euratom per il 2007-2012 é di 2.7 milliardi di euros
7PQ sostiene la ricerca in determinati settori prioritari, con l'obiettivo che l'Unione europea o mantenere il primo posto nei settori in questione.
