Riassunto
The main research questions focus on the
reasons for introduction of the obligatory integration requirements, the way in which
they were developed and put into practice and the actual effects of the requirements
for immigrants. Special attention will furthermore be paid to the differences between
integration requirements with a voluntary and a compulsory nature, the relationship
between the different requirements in a Member State and the effects of the
integration or naturalisation requirements for EU citizen residents and their family
members.
